What is a garden studio?
A garden studio is a space designed to be as natural as possible. It’s a place where you can go to take some time for yourself, but also to work on your projects.
Garden studios are becoming increasingly popular in the world of design because they offer a more natural way of living and working. They provide a space where people can escape their hectic lives and find peace in nature.
Expanding your existing home with this new living space is a wonderful project that will help you feel better, enjoy the tranquility of your garden, and blend work and leisure. Especially since a building permit isn’t required for a garden studio of this size… So the process is simplified, isn’t it?!
What are the administrative procedures for building a garden studio?
Just like withTiny Houses, there is very little paperwork involved, and this structure can be built without a building permit.
Since the garden studio does not exceed 20 square meters in size and is set back from the main house, a simple Prior Declaration to the town hall is sufficient; there is no need to apply for a building permit.
What are garden sheds made of?
Just like tiny houses, a garden studio can be designed, furnished, or configured:
– Furniture and fixtures:
including a living room set (sofa, coffee table, etc.), a fully equipped kitchen, a reversible heat pump, a sauna, and a barbecue, etc.
– Building features: double-pane windows, a bathroom, a flat or tiled roof, glass-paneled French doors, etc.

How do you set up a garden studio?
Whether it’s empty or fully furnished with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and/or bathroom, your small garden house can be customized exactly as you wish! We’ll install everything you need to provide you with all the comforts of a traditional home.
What materials are used?
The materials used vary greatly depending on the homeowner’s preferences. In fact, it all depends on the individual’s needs and preferences. Some people prefer to use pine or oak wood, as in a cabin, while others swear by metal or steel. That’s why there are so many options available…
The Baze House garden studio is constructed of a metal frame.
As for the siding, the garden studio can be clad in wood or metal siding for low-maintenance care. A combination of both is entirely possible to enhance the exterior appearance of the livable garden studio.
For our wood siding, we use Finnish Thermowood pine, a sustainable material produced through natural drying methods that use heat and steam without the addition of chemicals. This thermal treatment significantly improves the wood’s properties, making it more stable and durable. As a result, it can be used outdoors in almost any climate.
How long does it take to install a garden studio?
The Baze garden studio can be set up in just one day. Not only is it delivered ready to use, but it’s also very quick to install—and we’ll be there to help you every step of the way.
